What is the story about?
Michigan linebacker Jimmy Rolder opted to head to the NFL instead of coming back to Michigan for one more season. It worked out for Rolder, who was selected by the Detroit Lions in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Rolder appeared in 42 games at Michigan, but all of his 11 starts came last season. Rolder led Michigan with 73 tackles (7.0 for loss) with 2.0 sacks, one interception, and one fumble recovery. Rolder is the second Michigan player to be drafted
by the Lions this year, with tight end Marlin Klein being taken by Detroit in the second round.
