Manchester United have reportedly contacted Barcelona to ask about Alejandro Balde’s situation at the club.
The Red Devils are keen to add a left-back to the squad this summer and have been linked with Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Balde is also in United’s thoughts ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
It was reported earlier in the transfer window that Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Balde this summer.
The defender lost his place in the starting XI last season after Joao Cancelo arrived on loan in the winter and has now seen the Portugal star complete a permanent transfer to the Camp Nou, signing a three-year contract.
Balde has said he’s happy at Barcelona and not thinking about a move, but there does seem to be interest from Old Trafford as we head towards the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
