The Kentucky Wildcats have made two more additions to Will Stein’s first coaching staff in Lexington.
According to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Kentucky is expected to hire Houston safeties coach Josh Christian-Young.
In addition, Zenitz also reports that Kentucky is set to hire UTSA wide receivers coach Joe Price.
Christian-Young, who’s spent the last two seasons with the Cougars, was previously at Tulane as the defensive backs coach.
Prior to that, Christian-Young worked at Army from 2015-19 in several defensive roles. That coincided with Jay Bateman’s time with the Black Nights. Bateman is set to leave Texas A&M to become Kentucky’s new defensive coordinator, so that previous tie seemingly helped get Christian-Young to Lexington.
Price, who’s been at UTSA in several roles since 2020, held the title of associate head coach, passing game coordinator, and wide receivers coach this past season. He was UTSA’s director of player personnel in 2020 and 2021. That came after a one-year stint at Illinois as the director of high school recruiting.
