Jim Cornette this week offered a solution for the injury that’s plagued Bianca Belair for well over a year: Have her hurt finger cut off.
The always-controversial Cornette made the rather extreme suggestion on the latest episode of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast while discussing various injuries in the WWE women’s division. The topic came up when the legendary manager brought up how Brie Bella broke her scapula at SummerSlam, leading his co-host, Brian Last, to note Rhea Ripley recently underwent
surgery to repair a meniscus tear.
After congratulating Belair and husband Montez Ford on the recent birth of their son, the duo spoke about the ongoing complications she’s experienced with her injured finger.
The EST suffered the injury involving her knuckle during a triple threat match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41. She then disappeared from WWE until showing up at WWE Evolution in July 2025 to serve as a special guest referee in a match between Naomi and Jade Cargill.
The Evolution appearance raised fans’ hopes that Belair would soon fully return, but then reports surfaced about her injury not healing properly. She would then go on to surprise fans with an appearance at WrestleMania 42, but after she made her way to the ring following John Cena’s introduction, Bianca revealed her pregnant stomach instead of announcing a return to wrestling.
According to Last, recent pictures of her swollen finger gives the impression she won’t be returning anytime soon.
“Has it grown super large, gained a life of its own? Is it a conjoined twin?” Cornette joked.
He then invoked Four Rooms, an anthology film from 1995. In a segment of the movie directed by Quentin Tarantino and inspired by an episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Presents television show, a man cuts off one of his fingers after losing a bet.
Cornette asked Last if he thinks there will come a point when Bianca will look at the injury in a Four Rooms-like scenario and say, “‘Well, it’s only a finger, you know? I could just chop it. Just chop it. Choppy, choppy, choppy my finger finger,’ and go on with your life instead of having a giant, deformed like elephant leg hanging from your hand?”
After they did a Google search to determine which finger was hurt — it’s the ring finger on her left hand — Corny resumed his talk of amputation for the WWE star.
“My advice to Bianca is give it another couple weeks, and then just have them chop that son of a bitch off and come back and make millions,” Cornette said, before adding maybe she could think of a maneuver that could only be applied to opponents with the hand missing the finger.
