Bayern Munich has had an active few days.
After news spiked regarding a pursuit of PSV Eindhoven attacking midfielder Ismael Saibari earlier this week, the Bavarians could be looking to act quickly on Entracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown per news from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Brown, who opened up some eyes with his play in the Bundesliga this season, is also turning heads with the German national team as well. Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt are already in communication
per Plettenberg, but the transfer fee could be as much as €60 million — something that could be an issue for the frugal Bavarians:
🚨🧨 EXCLUSIVE | FC Bayern and Nathaniel Brown have reached a full verbal agreement on a summer transfer.
The 22 y/o versatile left-back from Eintracht Frankfurt wants to join Bayern with immediate effect. Even after very positive talks with Vincent Kompany. A long-term contract until 2031 has already been agreed.
Bayern and SGE are already in contact. Markus Krösche is demanding up to €60m. The deal could still fail over the transfer fee. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪
Per Capology, Brown makes a total salary of €2.8 million with Die Adler. That figure would figure to double or triple at Bayern Munich.
The current starter at left-back for Bayern Munich is Alphonso Davies, who makes a whopping €20 million as a total package (salary + bonus), but is rumored to have the club concerned about his long-term viability because of injuries.
There have been rumors that Bayern Munich is open to selling Davies just a year after inking him to that massive contract. Would an acquisition of Brown signal a potential exit for Davies or is Bayern Munich about to spend €60 million on a backup for the Canadian?
