Aleksandar Pavlović is not setting statistical goals for the new season. Instead, the Bayern Munich midfielder is focused on becoming the type of player who can dictate matches and lead by example every time he steps onto the pitch.
When asked about his personal objectives for the campaign, Pavlović outlined an ambitious vision for his development.
“I want to play with courage. I want everyone to see that I’m afraid of nothing and no one, and to show the world what I’m capable of. I want to control
the game, make it my own, and project composure and authority. I want to bring my teammates into the game and work tirelessly for the team,” Pavlović said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)
It is a mature mindset from a player who continues to establish himself in one of the most demanding midfields in world football. Rather than focusing on goals or assists, Pavlović is emphasizing the qualities that define elite central midfielders: confidence under pressure, control in possession, leadership, and selfless work for the team.
Those attributes have already become hallmarks of his game, but his comments suggest he believes there is another level to reach. With Bayern Munich entering a new season filled with high expectations, the club will need midfielders capable of controlling the tempo and thriving in the biggest moments.
If Pavlović can translate those ambitions into consistent performances, he could take another significant step forward this season and further cement his place as one of Bayern Munich’s most important young players for years to come.
