We have been waiting all season for the Orioles to prove that they are good enough that they can go on a lengthy winning streak to help drag themselves out of the depths they’ve fallen into. They’re finally in the middle of doing that. It only took reaching a new season low point for them to do it.
There was plenty to talk about over the last week thanks to this streak, and on top of that, Saturday brought some surprise news of a Kyle Bradish contract extension. This week’s episode of the show reacts
to that news and goes into the mailbag for some parallel thoughts about Trevor Rogers and what the Orioles should do (or will do) regarding his pending free agency.
This being the 2026 Orioles, even good news comes with a reason to hold your breath, since Adley Rutschman didn’t play on Sunday due to an injury and Samuel Basallo left the game early due to an injury. If one of the team’s real strengths, its catching duo, is disrupted, that will be a drag on fortunes going forward. But, since I don’t know exactly what’s going on with that yet, I’m trying not to worry about it too much.
