This Date in Mets History
Game One of the 2015 World Series technically started on October 27, but it ended in the wee hours of the morning on this date in 2015. In a game that started at 8:09pm ET/7:09pm CT and took five hours and nine minutes, the Mets fell on a 14th inning bases loaded sacrifice fly from Eric Hosmer. Later that day, the Mets lost Game 2 of the World Series 7-1 as Jacob deGrom endured his lone playoff loss as a Met, so the Mets lost two World Series games in this one day. Not fun.
