It’s here! What all baseball fans have been hoping for all season. Game 7 of the World Series. The stakes literally don’t get any higher. The reigning champions the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Toronto Blue
Jays. One of these teams will be hoisting a trophy at the end of the night while the other looks on in agony and prepares for a long miserable winter. This is what it’s all about.
The Dodgers evened this series up yet again with a critical must-win last night that ended in memorable fashion. Now they’ll try to finish the comeback, and who else to send to the mound other than mega-ultra-superstar Shohei Ohtani? He’s the best player on the planet and looked great in his previous start in Game 3, the game that ended up going 18 innings. Hopefully tonight’s doesn’t go that long. And of course it goes without saying, he’s also batting leadoff tonight. Enjoy watching this man while we can, folks.
The final lineup for the 2025 Dodgers this season:
No surprises. It’s all hands on deck for tonight.
As for the Blue Jays, momentum does not seem to be on their side entering tonight’s Game 7 but that can all change with one swing of the bat. They’d do themselves a huge favor by taking an early lead and keeping their home crowd involved. A’s fans know all too well the effect falling behind early can have on the fans in the stadium.
The Jays have used their two best pitchers in the past two games but they may have one final ace up their sleeves in the form of Max Scherzer. His storied career needs no more accolades to punch his ticket yo Cooperstown, but one final touch of an epic World Series-delivering Game 7 performance for a Toronto team seeking their first championship in over three decades would be a nice exclamation point.
And just as it is for LA, the final lineup of the season for the Blue Jays:
Leadoff man George Springer is back in there again ready to empty the fuel tank even though he’s not at 100%. Same goes for Bo Bichette, who is back at second base and like Springer ready to sacrifice his body for a ring. A big hit tonight could earn the impending free agent a lot more money this coming offseason.
This is it! The season is about to end one way or another tonight. Who will wear the crown when all is said and done? It doesn’t get any better than this!
