It only took nearly six whole months to get here, but Blake Monroe has finally wrestled for WWE on the main roster.
She was called up to the main roster in April, had her debut proper backstage in a 20-second segment, and hasn’t done much of anything since. She was supposed to wrestle Giulia a bunch of times but did things like attack her before the match, ensuring it never got underway. It felt like WWE was just trolling us, or maybe her, or maybe everyone.
Cain A. Knight mentioned in his preview
for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown that WWE is running out of time to fix this nonsense booking, and said she really needed to do something special to get things turned around.
Well…
There wasn’t a whole lot before that, but that was the finish. Giulia hit her head on the ring post and never got back up from there. Monroe saw her down, climbed into the ring to get the pin, and slithered away with a smile like she couldn’t believe she got away with winning like that.
Yeah.
Giulia, for her part, really sold the hell out of this:
I’ll leave it up to you to decide if you’re sold on Monroe, or any of this, after what they did here.
