Germany enjoyed a strong start to their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a 7-1 demolition of Curaçao.
The attack was particularly impressive, with Bayern Munich players playing a key role in the midfield and attacking third with some fluid link-up play and some marvellous passing and phenomenal finishing. And Jamal Musiala was at the heart of it all.
The 23-year-old capped his stellar performance with a top-notch finish.
In doing so, the attacking midfielder broke a record, making Bayern the club with
the most World Cup goal contributions in history (i.e., Bayern players who have scored in World Cups) with 80, followed by Real Madrid with 79.
Bayern players seem to be enjoying a strong start, with many of them heavily involved in Germany’s win, and Kim Min-jae being one of the driving forces behind South Korea’s 2-1 triumph against the Czech Republic.
This record will likely balloon further.
