Some fight fans are not excited to see the return of middleweight prospect Bo Nickal and they have no problem letting the former NCAA wrestling standout hear about it.
Nickal, who was brought into UFC as the “biggest prospect in the sport,” was completely steamrolled his last time out against surging contender Reinier de Ridder at UFC Des Moines (watch HERE). The matchup was a big step up in competition for Nickal, who had really only fought one-dimensional fighters throughout his short career. It
was ultimately a harsh reality check for Nickal’s confidence and put a hold on his promising UFC ascension.
Nickal, 29, is still young enough and talented enough to shake off his recent loss and get back in the winner’s circle his next time out. UFC matchmakers may have some trouble figuring out what to do with him next, but Nickal should return to the Octagon sometime before year’s end. In fact, Nickal is already lobbying for a spot on UFC’s upcoming New York City card at UFC 322 inside Madison Square Garden (which will be headlined by a massive superfight).
Check it out below:
“Get me on early prelims,” wrote Nickal.
Those were the only words Nickal needed to post to incite immediate backlash from some of his biggest haters. While Nickal has had some issues with UFC fans in the past some of these comments go extra-hard. Check out the reaction below and let us know your thoughts!
“Best we can do is PFL.”
“But you’re just going to get handled again..”
“I’d rather watch a women’s prelim fight than you.”
“Finally humble enough for a prelim.”
“Another boring decision win in MSG.”
“At least you know your place now.”
“Fight pass star.”
“Lol you’re off PPV cards bud. Say hello to the UFC Apex. I heard they are adding seats though?”
“You should fight Ateba Gautier so we can see you quit against a real fighter.”
“How about we get you in Bellator eh? Since that’s your level.”
