The Atlanta Hawks had one draft pick coming into tonight’s second round of the 2026 NBA Draft, number 57 overall. But the brass decided to use some cash to jump up to 52 and grab their guy, Henri Veesaar from UNC.
The team
seems determined to address their need for a sizeable and skilled big man after last season’s Kristaps Porzingis experiment went awry. Veesaar is a legitimate 7-footer who can stretch the floor (38% from three on 152 attempts in college) and is a projectable defender.
