The Tennessee Titans allowed 56 sacks last season. That was sixth-most in the league. Rookie quarterback Cam Ward was sacked on 55 occasions, tied for the most of any quarterback in 2025. The Titans need to do a significantly better job protecting Ward in 2026. Improving the protection is a big-time priority for offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and position coach Carmen Bricillo.
Coach Bricillo has a history of helping improve offensive line play after doing so with the New York Giants and Las Vegas
Raiders. The Titans made offseason changes at various positions. With that in mind, we’ve ranked the Titans’ five projected starting offensive linemen from best to worst.
Peter Skoronski, LG
Peter Skoronski is the Titans’ one true elite offensive lineman. The former first-round pick deserves to sign a multi-year contract extension this offseason that makes him one of the highest-paid guards in the NFL. Skoronski is the only offensive lineman on the Titans’ roster they have no concerns about.
JC Latham, RT
The Titans desperately need JC Latham to be healthy and effective throughout 2026. The top-10 selection possesses massive upside, but hasn’t quite met the full expectations of his potential yet. It’s a massive season for Latham, as the Titans must decide on his fifth-year contract option next offseason.
Austin Schlottmann, C
The Titans signed Austin Schlottmann in free agency due to his familiarity with Daboll and Bricillo. He’s been a veteran journeyman as a former undrafted free agent, but impressed in four starts for the Giants last season. Schlottmann’s familiarity with the scheme could help him make a smooth transition as the Titans’ starting center.
Dan Moore, LT
Dan Moore is a league-average left tackle who is consistently available and rarely kills drives. The Titans overpaid him in free agency last campaign, but he wasn’t as bad as some analysts make him out to be. Regardless, the Titans may strongly consider releasing him next offseason once the potential cap savings become available.
Cordell Volson/Jackson Slater, RG
The Titans are holding a competition at right guard between sophomore Jackson Slater and veteran free-agent signing Cordell Volson. Everyone hopes Slater rises to the occasion, but Volson is a reliable veteran with 48 career starts. Given the mystery factor here, it has to rank as the Titans’ biggest concern on the offensive line until we know more.
