What is the story about?
The season ended in the hardest of ways for Duke Sunday, with a bitter loss to UConn, but basketball always rolls on.
We don’t know for sure who will be back next season in this new era. Some, like Cameron Boozer, will be in the NBA. Some may opt to transfer, and some will be back. One of the most intriguing newcomers is Bryson Howard.
His father is Josh Howard, who starred at Wake Forest from 1999-2003. We don’t think he was terribly fond of Duke in those years, but he seems to have gotten past that.
Bryson is 6-5 and tenacious. He should fit right in with Deron Rippey and if Caleb Foster, Dame Sarr and Cayden Boozer return, Duke’s perimeter defense is going to be a load.
