Bella Mir has her opponent for Dana White’s Contender Series.
Mir is set to face Alex Apodaca in the headline bout of the Aug. 25 DWCS card. The bout serves as Mir’s fifth pro bout overall.
The 23-year-old Mir first revealed she’d be competing on the annual summer series in an interview with MMA Fighting in July. It will be the first MMA bout for “Lady” in over a year — a first-round submission win over Stephanie Calderon under the Fury FC banner. After winning a decision in her first pro bout, Mir,
the daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, has gone on to finish the rest of her opposition.
Apodaca enters the biggest bout of her career on a three-fight win streak. After spending her first three pro bouts for Colorado regional promotion Peak Fighting, Apodaca picked up a decision win for Fury FC in her most recent bout less than a month ago against Devon McDonald.
