Even though AEW didn’t have much time to build toward AEW Grand Slam France, they put together a stacked card with four title matches, Chris Jericho, and Samoa Joe. Oh la la.
Based on events from Collision (Oct. 3, 2026), the updated lineup for Grand Slam France includes:
- AEW World Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Kazuchika Okada
- AEW Women’s World Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Queen Aminata
- TNT Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher
- ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Kofi
- Samoa Joe vs. Jack Perry (winner qualifies for Clockwork Carnage)
- Chris Jericho vs. Nick Wayne
AEW will tape both Dynamite and Collision at Grand Slam. I’m pretty sure that all those matches are for Dynamite on Tuesday, October 6. There is still more to be announced to air for Collision on Saturday, October 10.
Ospreay called
out Okada, because he wants to beat the men who beat him on the way to the AEW World Championship. It also ties into their history in NJPW, which this video package nicely summarizes to hype the bout.
Aminata is on a three-match win streak in recent weeks, so Tony Khan considered her for world title contention. Aminata didn’t want to wait, and she called out Mercedes for Grand Slam.
Allin feels most alive defending the TNT title. He called out Kyle Fletcher as the challenger, because the Protostar never lost the strap. Fletcher vacated due to injury.
Kofi was victorious in his singles debut for AEW. Beating Pure champion Lee Moriarty gave Kofi a taste for ROH gold, so he called out Bandido for the world title. This also fits with their recent battles in trios action.
Perry called out Joe to test himself. Iron sharpens iron. Joe plans to make Perry regret that decision. An added stipulation is qualifying for Clockwork Carnage. AEW created a new concept match for 8 men to compete for the world title at WrestleDream.
Jericho wants to teach young Wayne a lesson, but Wayne is so cocky that he plans to teach Jericho a thing or two.
That is a strong card for TV. I believe that the AEW world title, the TNT title, and the ROH world title bouts all have high potential to steal the show. The rest aren’t shabby either. Grand Slam France should rock.
