Just over 36 hours from now, the Pittsburgh Penguins will drop the puck on their 2025-26 campaign with a matchup in the Big Apple at Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers. This will be the second season in a row the Penguins have opened against the Rangers and they’ll be hoping for a better result than last year’s 6-0 opening night loss.
This game will also be the first for Dan Muse as an NHL head coach as he will lead the Penguins against their former head coach Mike Sullivan.
Puck drop
is scheduled for 8:00 PM and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
