Whatever you thought about former Cleveland Browns HC Kevin Stefanski, his record as a first-time head coach is what it was. Two Coach of the Year awards and some losing seasons… and a lot of fan frustration before his firing after the 2025 season.
In many ways, new Browns HC Todd Monken is a breath of fresh air. A far more blunt communicator, Monken currently has two benefits when it comes to how fans see him: 1) He isn’t Stefanski or even similar, 2) His record is 0-0 as the Cleveland head coach
(and as an NFL head coach).
Hope springs eternal as the Browns OTAs got underway. An improved roster has many hoping that changes are more than surface-level. As new OL Zion Johnson shared, it seems like very detailed accountability is being strongly enforced:
Early in the process, there are zero rookies getting starting reps for Monken’s squad. That is, until a false start led to Spencer Fano entering the starting lineup:
It is a new day in Cleveland and Browns fans can be excited. One the season starts, Monken and his team will then have to prove it on the field.
How do you feel about what you have seen and heard from Todd Monken so far with the Browns?
