Welcome back to College Football Saturday!
While your Miami Hurricanes are on their final bye week of the year — yes, the 2nd bye in 3 weeks, thanks ACC — there are PLENTY of other games to enjoy today
in the meantime.
While you watch games from coast to coast today, hop in the comments and talk about the action as it happens. And, in case you needed to know who to root for in games with ACC teams, we’ve got you covered on that front:
I’ll post a couple highlight games in this window, but here’s a watchgrid graphic from TrigDraws, a contributor with another network.

Anyways, a couple games to keep an eye on in the early window, with lines provided by our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook:
- #8 Alabama at #14 Missouri, Noon, ABC; line: Alabama -3 — One of the biggest games in recent memory for Mizzou, and a chance to get another ranked win for Alabama. This is gonna be fighting for main screen placement in the noon window against some tough competition. Competition such as….
- #1 Ohio State at #17 Illinois, Noon, FOX; line: Ohio State -14 — like Alabama, OSU is looking for another ranked win to add to their credit. And, after getting super duper boat raced 63-10 in their previous top-1o matchup against Indiana, Illinois looks to bounce back against a National Championship contender and get one of the biggest wins in the country this season.
- Pitt at #25 Florida State, Noon, ESPN; line: FSU -10.5 — Miami just beat the Noles last week (lol, suckers) and end the regular season on the road against Pitt. So, you can delight in watching FSU try to fight back after another rivalry loss to the Canes, and do some very early scouting for Pitt.
- Stanford at SMU, Noon, the CW; line: SMU -18.5 — Miami plays Stanford and SMU in consecutive weeks coming up shortly, so this game is worth watching. Really for SMU, but still, eyes on both future opponents isn’t a bad thing.
- #7 Indiana at #3 Oregon, 3:30pm, CBS; line: Oregon -7 — Game of the day by far. Indiana already has one top-10 win, blowing out Illinois 63-10. Traveling to Autzen Stadium is another monster altogether though. IFFFFF Indiana pulls this off that would be truly eye opening.
- #6 Oklahoma vs Texas in Dallas, 3:30pm, ABC; line: Texas -1.5 —The Red River Shootout (that’s the name of this game, deal with it) is a big opportunity for Oklahoma to keep Texas’s slide going, and for Texas to get a statement win to get back on track. Star OU QB John Mateer is probable to play just 2 weeks after thumb surgery, but we’ll see how he performs, if he does play.
There are more games, obviously, but those are the ones that stick out to me in the early window.
Let’s talk some football until we’re back for the primetime games later.
Happy Football Saturday, everybody!
