Víctor Valdepeñas is close to joining Fiorentina from Real Madrid.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the two clubs have reached an agreement worth €8 million for 50% of the defender’s rights.
The structure of the deal would allow Real Madrid to retain significant control over Valdepeñas’ future while giving the 19-year-old an opportunity to continue his development in Serie A.
Madrid and Fiorentina are due to face each other in a preseason friendly on Saturday. The strong relationship between the clubs
has helped negotiations progress quickly, with the transfer now expected to be completed.
Valdepeñas is regarded as one of the most promising defenders to emerge from La Fábrica in recent years. He can operate at center-back or left-back, but faces significant competition for first-team minutes following Madrid’s defensive additions this summer.
