Today, the National Soccer Hall of Fame today announced the finalists for election to the Class of 2026 which includes 20 on the Player ballot, 10 on the Veteran ballot, and four on the Builder ballot.
Over the next several weeks the Hall of Fame Voting Committees will meet and select a maximum of six new members – three Players, two Veterans, and one Builder.
How does the voting work?
The two Players, one Veteran and one Builder can be automatically elected to the Hall of Fame by:
- Receiving the most votes
- Named on more than 50% of the ballots
The final spots will
go to a third Player and a second Veteran who may be elected if they are named to at least 75% of the ballots.
The 2026 Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for May 1 in Frisco.
