Top Rumor: Keith Lee return talk
It’s almost hard to believe but Keith Lee hasn’t been on any AEW programming dating all the way back to 2023. He was scheduled to close out at the year at Worlds End but was pulled due to injury, had surgery, and hasn’t been back since.
Now, Fightful Select brings word that there were actual discussions for his return months ago. Those plans, obviously, never came to fruition because if they had he would have been back by now.
It is not known if talks ever got as far
as Lee himself.
Further, he hasn’t been a regular backstage at AEW television tapings. One would think he would need to be around in the lead up to a return, seeing as it’s not even known if he’s cleared, even if he has told fans at various points that he is fine.
But at least now we know there’s been talk of it in the not too distant past!
Other rumors floating around
- Eric Bischoff claimed on his podcast that Chad Gable was “sniffing around” about competing in Real American Freestyle and also said there are actual discussions about making it happen.
- Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that the deal within WWE’s working agreement with TNA is that WWE can buy them if they want to.
- Nikki Bella mentioned on her podcast that she will be getting back in the ring soon as part of her recovery process.
- Per PW Insider, Zilla Fatu was at the WWE Performance Center yesterday and WWE has had interest in him lately.
