It was a bad weekend for social media influencers in the combat sports world, at least when it comes to getting owned by fighters.
Let’s not fool ourselves, though: despite getting knocked out by Anthony Joshua and having his jaw wired shut, Jake Paul still banked nearly $100 million. Andrew Tate also got paid well en route to a hilariously bad decision loss to Chase DeMoor. And Jack Doherty got exactly what he wanted out of an altercation with Andrei Arlovski at Paul vs. Joshua: attention.
Doherty
apparently thought it would be a good idea to do his ‘shoulder bump people as he walks around’ routine at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, confident his bodyguard would extract him from any situations he created. Then he bumped Andrei Arlovski, and one of his broccoli bros tried to sucker punch the former UFC heavyweight champion. When “The Pitbull” reacted, Doherty’s bodyguard was not so eager to get involved.
Now Doherty is playing the victim, claiming he did nothing to deserve the reaction from Arlovski.
“I was just walking by and he tries to kick me for no reason and that’s how it all started,” Doherty wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I literally didn’t say or do anything to him but I’ll always be the bad guy in the situation lol.”
That’s because Doherty is a notorious loser whose whole career revolves around these kinds of incidents. There are lengthy YouTube videos devoted to all the times he’s instigated fights, and if it isn’t over his actions its over his words … words like these.
“How did I start the Andrei Arlovski fight? Watch the video u old twitter f–ks,” he continued tweeting. “U guys just point the finger at the kid who’s half ur age and way richer than u.”
“MMA fighters are a different breed of scum,” he added. “All of them are sub 100 IQ and 99% make less than 50k a year to be a human cock fighting meat shield. They all have serious mental health problems and are as useful to society as a used piece of toilet paper.”
“And yeah I know they’ll ‘beat my ass’ because that’s all those no good r–ds can do. I know it’s entertaining to watch but make no mistake they are all worse then cancer.”
Not a very original insult, considering influencers are the ones widely considered to be the cancer on society. We can only hope this is the first and last time MMA fans have to pay attention to Doherty. We’ve been exposed to some truly lame personalities, but even guys like N3ON don’t hesitate to smack Jack in the face when he shows up somewhere.
