Joan Cancelo is reportedly set to leave Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the January transfer exit and is being linked with a number of clubs, including Barcelona.
The full-back was at Camp Nou previously, on loan during the 2023-24 season, and has already made it clear just how much loved his time with the Catalan giants.
Indeed after playing against Real Madrid at the Club World Cup in the summer and being booed by Los Blancos fans he said: “I’m a Barca fan, it’s normal. I love Barca. I loved my
team in Barca. I love the group at Barca. But now I’m at Al-Hilal and I’m very happy here,” he told reporters.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Cancelo is now on the move again and Barcelona have been in contact to ask about his situation. Serie A sides Inter and Juventus are also believed to be in the race for the Portugal star.
Barcelona had been expected to have a quiet January but a long-term injury to Andreas Christensen looks to have changed their plans.
Hansi Flick’s side are thought to be in the market for a center-back in January, but it seems they may be thinking about going for Cancelo again.
