Five Giants players who increased their value in 2025 | New York Daily News
There isn’t much good that comes out of a season like this 2025 Giants campaign. But there are some individual players on this NFC bottom-feeder who have helped their
own stock, whether they remain on the Giants or sign somewhere else in the spring.
Here are five Giants players who have increased their value despite the team’s results include QB Jameis Winston, WR Wan’dale Robinson, Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux, CB Cor’dale Flott, and S Dane Belton.

Cannizzaro: Giants’ future might not be as dismal as their pathetic 2025 suggests | New York Post
Scoff at this as you like, understandably disgusted and frustrated Giants fans. But there are signs — obviously not reflected in the poor record — that the Giants aren’t such a dire mess as they move forward from this lost season.
Everything to know about NY Giants coaching search from start to finish | The Record
When the clock hits all zeroes inside MetLife Stadium this Sunday afternoon, the New York Giants will turn the page on the 2025 season and focus all of their efforts on finding their next head coach.
The Giants have been in the market for a new coach since Brian Daboll was fired Nov. 10. And while general manager Joe Schoen was tabbed to run point on the franchise’s fifth head coaching search since Tom Coughlin’s exit in 2015, the interview process has not kicked off just yet.
Storylines to follow in season finale vs. Cowboys | Giants.com
On the defensive side of the ball, outside linebacker Brian Burns was selected to the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career and the first during his time with the Giants. That should come as no surprise as his 16.5 sacks leads the NFC and trails only Cleveland’s Myles Garrett. Burns has already tied Jason Pierre-Paul for the fourth-most sacks in a single season by a Giant, and if he can get two more on Sunday, he would tie Michael Strahan for the third-most. Meanwhile, Burns’ 30 quarterback hits are tied with Leonard Williams (2020) for the most by any Giant since the stat began being tracked in 2006.
Linebacker Bobby Okereke’s 137 total tackles this season are the fifth-most by a Giant in franchise history. While 15 tackles in the final game might be a stretch, Okereke would set the new Giants record with 152 on the season if he can do it. Additionally, Abdul Carter (4.5) and defensive lineman Darius Alexander (3.5) both rank inside the top six among rookies in sacks.
Brian Burns named George Young-Ernie Accorsi Media Good Guy Award winner | USAToday.com
New York Giants outside linebacker Brian Burns has been named the 25th recipient of the George Young-Ernie Accorsi Media Good Guy Award for the 2025 season. Announced by the writers on Wednesday afternoon, Burns earned the honor for his consistent accessibility during weekly press conferences and after games, even amid the team’s challenges.
The award, voted on by the New York Chapter of the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA), recognizes the player who demonstrates outstanding professionalism, cooperation, and availability in helping beat writers cover the team throughout the year.
O’Connor: Why Eli Manning and his .500 record belong in the Hall of Fame | The Athletic
Broadway Joe is a Hall of Famer because that honor is also about moments and circumstances. Eli Manning was a master of moments and circumstances.
He upset Packers legends Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers in playoff games at Lambeau Field, beating Favre in Ice Bowl conditions without wearing a glove on his throwing hand. Manning did not just beat the greatest quarterback of all time (Tom Brady) and the greatest coach of all time (Bill Belichick) in Super Bowl XLII; he stopped the 18-0 Patriots from becoming the greatest team of all time with a 12-play, 83-yard drive in the final minutes defined by his Houdini-like and athletic (believe it or not) escape that set up David Tyree’s helmet catch.

Big Facts: Dak aiming to lead NFL in passing | DallasCowboys.com
Dak Prescott could become the first Cowboys quarterback to lead the NFL in passing yards. He enters Week 18 with 4,482 yards, leading Matthew Stafford by 34 yards. While it’s possible both quarterbacks could see minimal time in Week 18 for different reasons, Jared Goff (4,233) and Drake Maye (4,203) are the only two other quarterbacks that are within striking distance of Stafford and Prescott.
Prescott has defeated the Giants 14 games in a row after going 0-2 against them as a rookie in 2016. This is the second-longest win streak by a quarterback against a single opponent since 1950. Only Bob Griese had more with 17-straight wins against the Bills.
Cowboys injuries: Jake Ferguson, Shavon Revel DNP Wednesday | Blogging the Boys
Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson (calf) did not practice on Wednesday. He played only 27 of 92 snaps in the Christmas Day win over the Commanders. For the season, Ferguson has 81 receptions for 595 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Cowboys also practiced without offensive guard T.J. Bass (knee), running back Malik Davis (calf/eye), cornerback Shavon Revel (concussion/neck) and defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey (personal).
Brian Schottenheimer: Skipped team flight one factor in Trevon Diggs’ release | Pro Football Talk
The final straw came after the win over the Commanders on Christmas Day when Diggs skipped the flight back to Dallas, according to multiple reports. Other players had the same request as Diggs did, and they were denied, too, Schottenheimer said. Everyone except Diggs flew home with the team before their mini-bye week.
“First time I heard about it, Trevon grabbed me after the game,” Schottenheimer said. “I’m celebrating a big win, and I explained to him the protocol, which has always been the protocol, we go up as a team, we come back as a team. And he decided to make a decision. I’ll say this: It was not the only reason that this decision was made.”
