The NCAA football season begins next week. You know what that means—it’s time to gear up for another year of Future Broncos articles covering the best prospects and everything related to the Denver Broncos and the 2027 NFL Draft.
For the first installment, let’s get Broncos Country up to speed on Denver’s slate of picks for next April. As it stands now, the Broncos currently have all seven of their original selections. Additionally, they will receive an extra seventh round pick from the Devaughn Vele
trade from last year.
According to OverTheCap, Denver is expected to receive a fourth-round compensatory selection for Jonathan Franklin-Myers. Earlier in the offseason, their calculations had them receiving a seventh-round pick for P.J. Locke, however that appears to be crossed off the list above—tentatively giving Denver nine picks to work.
2027 NFL Draft selections for the Broncos:
- First Round: Original pick
- Second Round: Original pick
- Third Round: Original pick
- Fourth Round: Original pick
- Fourth Round: Projected Compensatory Pick (John Franklin-Myers)
- Fifth Round: Original pick
- Sixth Round: Original pick
- Seventh Round: Original pick
- Seventh Round: via New Orleans Saints (from Devaughn Vele trade)
The 2027 NFL Draft will be extremely important for the Broncos. It’s technically the first of the Sean Payton era where Denver is scheduled to have an original selection in every round. Moreover, it’s just the third draft since 2022 where Denver has a first-round pick.
With Bo Nix and several other important key players eligible for extension next offseason, the Broncos will have to do their best and hit on a good portion of these picks. For the next installment, we will take a look at the Broncos’ tentative draft needs.
