Barcelona and Monaco have agreed a permanent transfer for Ansu Fati following a season on loan with the Ligue 1 side.
The forward will now remain with the French side, with Barcelona receiving a fee of €11 million. The Catalans have also included a sell-on clause as part of the transfer, per Fabrizio Romano.
Fati left Barca for Monaco last summer and has gone on to score 12 goals in all competitions for the club. He is now set to continue his career with Monaco after a buy option in his contract was
triggered.
According to Diario Sport, the transfer effectively means that Barcelona will move back to within La Liga’s 1:1 rule ahead of the official opening of the summer transfer window.
The news will be a big boost to the club as they aim to strengthen the squad. Anthony Gordon has already been signed, while speculation continues to rage about potential moves for Julian Alvarez and Bernardo Silva.
