The Portland Trail Blazers’ Blake Wesley could be out until the end of January, according to a press release released by the organization.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Blake Wesley underwent successful
surgery today to repair a fracture of the fifth metatarsal base in his right foot. The procedure was performed by Dr. Martin O’Malley at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Wesley will begin his rehabilitation immediately and is expected to be sidelined for 8–12 weeks.
The guard out of Notre Dame has appeared in six games for Portland, averaging six points, 1.7 steals, 3.2 assists and 2.3 boards in 16.3 minutes per game. He injured his foot during Portland’s 109-107 win over the Denver Nuggets last Friday.
Wesley came to the Blazers in the offseason, signing a one-year free agent deal with the club. Drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 2022, he played three seasons for San Antonio and their G-League club, the Austin Spurs. Wesley was dealt to the Washington Wizards on July 9, 2025, and agreed to a buyout ten days later, making him a free agent. Portland snapped him up just a few days later.
