Ryan’s on vacation this week, so I’m filling in. Turns out last week’s winning caption also applies to me! (Hey, also go vote for the Lookies—the deadline was extended to Saturday!)

This Week’s Contest
This photo comes from this year’s edition of Logan kicking ass on Independence Day. Following up his CSGO from July 4th in 2023, he carved through Canada’s Jays this year, allowing just one baserunner over 7.1
innings with seven strikeouts. By Game Score 2.0, it was the fifth-best outing of his career. He also made this goofy play in the fourth. Depsite being one of the games very worst defenders (seriously), you can’t say he doesn’t try. The Mariners ultimately won this game 11-0.
Rules
- Respond to the photo with a caption, essay, drawing, counter image, math equation, or literally anything Coral allows you to post. It can be funny, poetic, or whatever the photo inspires in you.
- Unlimited entries, though be considerate.
- No politics, religion, generative AI, or anything that violates our community guidelines. Please don’t try to be clever and sneak it in. Please don’t put the burden of deciding whether the caption is against the rules on our mod team. If you think “ah but the people will love this specifically,” it’s best to appreciate your genius in your head and assume we all agree with you. This is meant to be moderately fun engagement bait, and the alternative is an impassioned defense of Dan Wilson’s bullpen management if we cannot handle it.
- Please read other comments and “rec” the ones you like. The comment that gets the most recs will be the winner. I will also choose a comment or two that speaks to me personally.
- The deadline for commenting and voting will be whenever I get around to doing the post for the week.
