The Spurs finish out their current home stand with a contest against the Miami Heat, who they defeated 112-107 on October 8 in a preseason contest. Kel’el Ware torched the Spurs that night, and he should be a key contributor again tonight in a game that counts, as Coach Spoelstra will try to take advantage of the Spurs lack of size whenever Wembanyama has to sit. With Kornet still out with a sore ankle, Sochan not ready yet, and Olynyk yet to get into a game, we should see a lot of Bismack Biyombo tonight, who will hopefully play a little better than he did against the Raptors on Monday night, who were targeting the Congolese big man. Biyombo is shooting 100% from the field this year, while scoring 0.7 points per game, so maybe he should take a few more shots when he gets into the game.
The Heat are 3-1 this season, and are the toughest opponent the Silver and Black has faced this season. They are going to have to avoid the big letdowns they had against the Raptors and Nets, because Miami is too talented and well-coached to be beaten with the kind of uneven effort was good enough to beat those struggling teams. San Antonio has had a few days off to prepare for tonight’s game, and this might be a good chance for the team to put together a more complete game than they have so far this year. If they do, the fellas from the Alamo City will have something they’ve never had before in the history of the storied franchise, a 5-0 record to start the season. Let’s watch and cheer on the home team tonight.
Game Prediction:
Bismack Biyombo will be motivated by all of the negative press and log 10 blocks and 20 points tonight in limited minutes.
