Boxing superstars Terence Crawford and Shakur Stevenson paid a visit to Adin Ross, for some reason.
Ross, a longtime fan of UFC and collaborator with UFC CEO Dana White, previously held UFC over boxing, a position that didn’t with well with his outspoken guests.
“The UFC will never be better than boxing,” Crawford said. “UFC is good for what they do, and we’re good for what we do. You know what I mean? You’ve got to think, if I can’t whoop you with my hands, I can kick you, I can take you down. It’s
a whole different mental capacity than just kicking, punching.”
Crawford recently retired from the “sweet science” after defeating Canelo Alvarez.
When asked if former UFC two-division champion Jon Jones would “dominate” in boxing, Stevenson said “hell no” before daring UFC lightweight titleholder Ilia Topuria to “come fight me.”
Topuria previously claimed he could defeat Crawford with one punch, further proving my argument that articles should come with a laugh track.
“It ain’t even close,” Stevenson said about the difference in disciplines. “The skill level is different.”
Stevenson is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Teofimo Lopez last month in New York City, improving his record to 25-0 with 11 knockouts. Similarly, Topuria remains undefeated under the UFC banner, climbing to 17-0 after squashing Charles Oliveira at UFC 317.
Will they ever fight? Probably not …
