Atletico Madrid chief Enrique Cerezo has once again dismissed speculation about Barcelona interest in striker Julian Alvarez
.The Catalan giants continue to be linked with a move for the Argentina international in the summer transfer window despite Cerezo having said previously the club are not interested in selling.
He’s been asked about the transfer talk yet again ahead of tonight’s Copa del Rey clash with Barcelona and says he’s not had any contact with Deco and Co.
“Julián is a player with a contract
at Atlético Madrid and he is happy. No one from Barça has officially contacted us to sign him and this is what there is on this subject,” he told Win win.
“The only thing that interests us now is the Cup and getting through the tie with Barça. Nothing more.”
Barcelona aren’t the only club being linked with Alvarez this season. Chelsea and Arsenal are also said to be keen and could try to bring the striker back to the Premier League.
