As frustrating as the loss was to the Tennessee Titans this week, I am once again not sure if it matters at this point. I don’t typically take a loser’s mentality, but every loss improves the team’s draft position, as they hope to build off of a solid draft class this past season. On top of that, the talk of the game wasn’t so much the loss, but the breakout performance of quarterback Shedeur Sanders. I am excited and looking forward to these final four games to see whether he can be the team’s answer at quarterback.
We’re asking one other question this week, and that is whether Myles Garrett will break the NFL sack record. Garrett currently has 20 sacks, and the NFL record is 22.5 sacks. Therefore, he needs 3 sacks over the final four games in order to break the record. Although he’s been on a tear, we’ve seen stretches before where Garrett, to no fault of his own, may only get one sack in a four-game stretch. His opponents include the Bears, Bills, Steelers, and Bengals. The Bears allow the 5th fewest sacks, Bills 22nd fewest, Steelers 11th fewest, and Bengals 9th fewest. He’ll have his work cut out for him, but do you think he’ll break the record?
