What is the story about?
The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound
And the Dots broke over the railing
- Another year, another National Championship for the Washington Men’s Rowing team. The Dawgs were nearly unbeatable all season, piling up wins against Olympic Gold Medalists and the best the US had to offer. The final race came down to the wire, with UW reeling in Cal in the final meters to take the championship. The Women’s team finished in the top 10, as well.
- We will surely get more details coming soon about the results of the big weekend of on-campus visits for UW Football recruits. For the time being, here is Christian Caple’s preview for the weekend, with some of his thoughts on the top targets coming to campus and what the coaching staff hopes to do to round out a promising class.
- Dawgman has already started giving some feedback on how the trips went. One of the top non-committed targets from the weekend was CB Kamil Loud, another corner with great length to fit the Walters defensive scheme. Dawgman has a recap of his visit, including what comes next for Loud.
- Husky Track and Field participated at the NCAA Preliminaries in Arkansas to try to qualify for the upcoming outdoor Nationals in Eugene. Sixteen different Huskies across the men’s and women’s teams qualified. The group is heavily represented by pole vaulters and the long/middle distance runs where the Huskies have been so successful.
