Corrine Lomax was scheduled to visit four programs over the next month, but it only took one official visit for her to give her verbal commitment. Lomax reportedly visited Arizona women’s basketball last weekend. She posted her commitment to the program in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 3.
The 5-foot-11 wing debuted in ESPN’s 2027 rankings at No. 90 in June and has made a steady climb ever since. She currently sits at No. 65. She has gained attention from a number of programs, but her
four officials were scheduled for Arizona, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Penn State.
While she is not ranked by 247sports or Rivals, 247 has her as a four-star recruit. Both services rank about 60 players while ESPN ranks 100.
Prospects Nation joins ESPN in rating her as a four-star prospect. That service has her in its Elite 150, although she is outside its top 60 players, which receive individual rankings.
Earlier this year, Chris Hansen of Prospects Nation wrote about her appearance at the Elite Is Earned 2025 Big Apple Showdown: “Spin the dial back to late summer and our annual trip to New York saw the return of Hailey Benbow of Somerset, New Jersey. The consensus top 15 prospect seemed comfortable being the player everyone was measuring themselves against. One great matchup with Benbow was against 2027 wing Corinne Lomax of Watertown, Connecticut. They both possess strong frames and elite size to play on the perimeter. Both of them saw their stock rise from a competitive matchup.“
Jerry Cornwell broke down Lomax’s gamefor packwbb.com, a site dedicated to NC State: “Lomax stands out with her explosive athleticism and strong, powerful frame at 6’0″. She plays bigger than her listed height, particularly on the glass and defensively. Her combination of explosiveness, body control, and raw power gives her a high motor that fits NC State’s aggressive, transition-oriented style.”
Lomax started her high school career at Holy Cross in Waterbury, Conn. but she has been playing for Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass. since last year. She averaged 15.5 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game as a junior and reached 1,000 career points.
She plays club ball for Lady Rivals on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. This year, she and fellow 2027 Nation Williams were the only two players to average a double-double on the 3SSB circuit during Session I.
Lomax is the fourth 2027 commit for Becky Burke and her staff. She joins forward Ashley Vande Ven, power forward Celsy Colombo, and wing Brieana Brown. All four are four-star recruits ranked in ESPN’s top 100.
