Nebraska sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola is going to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
As you can see from the report from Pete Thamel below, he has two years of eligibility remaining.’
I could go through
Dylan’s entire career at Nebraska with all of the statistics and the game he’s played, but everyone else is going to do that, so what’s the point?
Instead, I’m going to ask you questions to spur the very conversations and discussions I know you all want to have.
Dylan Raiola arrived at Nebraska as one of the top recruits of his class, if not the top quarterback in the nation. Do you think his play over the last two seasons reflected that level of rating?
His uncle, Donovan Raiola, was fired And will not be back next season. I have urged for this change since at least the Michigan or USC games earlier in the season, largely because of the fact that our offensive line’s brains would explode every time the opponent ran a twist or a stunt during pass protection.
Do you think that the firing of Donavan Raiola played a choice in, played a part in Dylan’s choice?
Dylan Raiola has been a somewhat polarizing figure ever since he arrived at Nebraska. His lack of mobility doesn’t seem to fit with current day quarterbacks that are highly rated and expected to perform well.
Are you upset that Dylan Raiola will be leaving Nebraska? Are you okay with it, or do you think it’s the worst thing ever? Those are the choices you give. You can make comments. Please do so.
There was the ever-insistent rumor that the Raiola family was shopping Dylan to the highest bidder. What do you think he’ll find? Will he find riches and success? Will he find that nobody wants him for the price he expects?
As for me.
I’m okay with Dylan leaving or staying.
I don’t think he fits into the offense that I’d like to see Nebraska run, which requires a lot more mobility than he has. I’d like to see the offense that Nebraska ran against UCLA.I don’t think that’s possible with Dylan.
I am sure there will be plenty of people out there on social media making fun of the fact that Nebraska can’t keep a starting quarterback. Don’t bother with them. It’s not worth the time and effort.
I wish Dylan and the Riaola family the best of luck in whatever they choose to do.
