Will Conor McGregor show up at UFC 329 on Saturday, July 11th to fight Max Holloway as planned? After McGregor’s last fight booking fell apart two weeks out, fans are clearly spooked and worrying about worst case scenarios.
We’re four days away from Holloway vs. McGregor at the T-Mobile Arena and everything official points to both Conor McGregor and Max Holloway being healthy and ready to fight. Yet doubters are taking any small sign as a big indication that “The Notorious” may withdraw from UFC 329.
The first thing that set a panic off off: McGregor cancelled his post-fight afterparty at the Encore in Las Vegas. That is true … but not because he won’t be fighting on Saturday. It looks like the Mac took a bigger deal: new posts from McGregor’s social media show that his afterparty has been moved from the Encore Las Vegas to the Marquee Las Vegas inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
The next panic was over McGregor’s absence from the first episode of UFC Embedded, a video blog series which follows the headliners of every major UFC event around. Day one captured Max Holloway arriving from Hawaii, Paddy Pimblett hitting the water park, and Bobby Green leaving the strip to work out. Missing? Conor McGregor.
“No Conor on episode 1 is crazy,” One fan wrote in the YouTube comments. Another added “MCGREGOR NOT IN VEGAS?!”
Once again, new posts from Conor McGregor’s social media account show that “The Notorious” is in Las Vegas now. While photos of McGregor doing a late night run don’t list Nevada as his location, the width of the road and the rock-based landscaping are clear signs that he’s left Ireland and hitting the pavement on the streets of Vegas.
At this point, people should be convinced that Conor McGregor is planning on fighting this Saturday night. Barring some sort of catastrophic incident, his fight with Max Holloway will go ahead. So keep calm and carry on, because UFC 329’s main event is good to go.
