The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have a very interesting offseason ahead of them in terms of free agent decisions and potential contract extensions, but in the meantime they’re working on some other roster moves to begin the 2026 offseason.
On Thursday, the Seahawks signed 15 players to reserve/futures contracts:
- RB Cam Akers
- WR Tyrone Broden
- T Logan Brown
- WR Montorie Foster
- CB Tyler Hall
- S Maxen Hook
- RB Velus Jones Jr.
- C Federico Maranges
- LB Chris Paul Jr.
- LB Jamie Sheriff
- NT J.R. Singleton
- NT Bubba Thomas
- LB Ja’Markis Weston
- WR Ricky White III
- RB Jacardia Wright
If you notice a common thread among these players, all of them were on the practice squad (or, in the case of Wright and Foster, practice squad injured reserve). Once the season ends,
all practice squad players become unrestricted free agents. By signing these players to reserve/futures deals, they’re all under contract with the Seahawks when the league year starts in March.
The only Seahawks practice squad members not to get futures deals are Quandre Diggs, Shaquill Griffin, Shemar Jean-Charles, and Courtney Jackson.
