The Buffalo Bills (6-2) travel to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins (2-7) Sunday afternoon in Week 10, and the Bills appear to be getting a little healthier heading into this AFC East showdown.
Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining which key players returned to the practice field on Thursday, and which key defensive starter remained sidelined with a potentially pesky injury.
Bills getting healthier heading into Dolphins clash
The good news for the Bills on the injury front? Pro Bowl running back James Cook III (ankle) and defensive end Joey Bosa (wrist) were back on the practice field in a limited capacity Thursday after sitting out Wednesday’s session. Nickel cornerback Taron Johnson (groin), who was sidelined for Sunday’s big home win over the Kansas City Chiefs, was back practicing, as was defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf), who has been out since injuring his calf before Buffalo’s Week 6 game vs. the Atlanta Falcons. Additionally, starting linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle), who was limited during Wednesday’s session, was a full practice participant on Thursday.
The bad news? The Bills were still without the services of cornerback Christian Benford (groin), defensive end A.J. Epenesa (remains in concussion protocol), linebacker Shaq Thompson (hamstring), and safety Sam Franklin (illness).
