The Last Time is Now Tournament continued on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Oklahoma City, with the start of the quarterfinals featuring the rumored favorite to win the whole freakin’ thing before going off to retire the one and only John Cena.
First, GUNTHER and Carmelo Hayes had one hell of a match, one that played on the word of the former being the aforementioned favorite by giving Hayes some incredible hope spots. He played the underdog fighting for the improbable victory impossibly
well but the end result was always going to be the end result.
The favorite moves on via brutal powerbomb.
Later, Solo Sikoa advanced in the most unexpected manner. Penta was executing a hurricanrana from the barricade to the outside mat and he appeared to land badly on his shoulder, signaling to it when the referee checked up on him. They went to commercial break and when they came back, Sikoa was awarded the win via doctor’s stoppage.
GUNTHER vs. Sikoa will determine who advances to the Final on the right side of the bracket.
