If you were looking to wash the taste of a bitter 2025 Texas A&M baseball season out of your moth, this weekend was a good way to start. The Aggies hosted Tennessee Tech for a season-opening series at Blue Bell Park, and dominated from start to finish, sweeping the Golden Eagles by a combined score of 45-14.
GAME 1: A&M 15, Tenn. Tech 6
GAME 2: A&M 23, Tenn. Tech 7
GAME 3: A&M 7, Tenn. Tech 1
Certainly the season was never going to be decided on opening weekend. After all, the Ags swept Elon to begin the 2025 season that ended in massive disappointment. But if you’re looking for reasons
for optimism, the Aggies scored 13 more runs than opening weekend last year, and much more importantly committed no errors after committing five on opening weekend a year ago.
It’s also safe to say that a lineup that includes both Caden Sorrell and Gavin Grahovac, in addition to a slew of newcomers, has a chance to keep this team in a ton of games.
The Aggies host A&M-Corpus Christi for a midweek tilt at 6 p.m. on Tuesday before another weekend series at Blue Bell Park next weekend against Penn. All games can be streamed on SEC Network+.
