For months, Adam Schefter has been saying that the Tennessee Titans aren’t considering taking Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love. He has changed that tune today:
Now, remember, you can’t believe anything you hear
this time of year. If Schefter is all of a sudden changing his tune on the Titans’ feelings, that is probably because someone wants that information out there.
One of the rumors that is gaining steam is that the Dallas Cowboys are looking to trade ahead of the New York Giants for a player. Is that player Love? It certainly could be.
So that begs the question, if you were Mike Borgonzi, would you be willing to trade with the Cowboys? They have picks 12 and 20 in the first round of this draft, but they don’t have another pick until the third round. Would you ask for next year’s 1?
Moving down to 12 would be a pretty big deal. That takes you out of the range of all of the blue-chip players in this draft. Would getting three of the top 35 players in this draft be worth giving up whoever they might take at 4?
