As M. G0MEZ kept regular followers of the cSs Feed informed all weekend, CM Punk worked WWE NXT’s house show in Petersburg, Virgina on Saturday night (Aug. 15). He wrestled a trios match, took an intergender powerbomb, and generally shared good vibes with the NXT roster.
But it wasn’t all good vibes.
Grayson Waller has been reinventing himself of late as NXT’s “uncontrollable straight shooter”. His first promo as the character was praised by several WWE living legend-types, including Punk. But Waller crashes
a post-show hang out with the Undisputed WWE champ to let Punk know he needed to get permission to wrestle in “Waller’s house”. The veteran laughed that off, which led to some threats. Punk telling the Aussie that “everybody hates me, it’s a little played out”, brought shoving. Finally, NXT coach/producer Steve Corino apologizes to his old Ring of Honor mate for Grayson, and the good vibes could continue once more.
Like the Cody Rhodes/Punk dust-up backstage after July 18’s Saturday Night’s Main Event that WWE tweeted and deleted, NXT posted the above clip on their X timeline yesterday then deleted it not too long after. They haven’t done anything to scrub other versions though, and Waller didn’t want us to forget about it…
…leading us to believe they want us to believe the above is “real”, because “they don’t want us to see it”.
Pro wrestling, everybody!
