Stars from around the world entered Arena Mexico to compete in the CMLL Women’s Grand Prix on Friday night (Oct. 23, 2026). AEW, Stardom, RevPro, MLW, and MLP united to take on luchadoras representing Mexico in a torneo cibernetico. When the dust cleared, Skadi stood tall pinning Megan Bayne to be the lone survivor in victory.
Rosters for the teams included:
- World: Marina Shafir (Moldova/AEW), Megan Bayne (USA/AEW), Harley Cameron (Australia/AEW), Queen Aminata (Guinea/AEW), Mei Seira (Japan/Stardom), Momo Watanabe (Japan/Stardom), AZM (Japan/Stardom), Miyu Amasaki (Japan/Stardom), Emersyn Jayne (UK/RevPro), Masha Slamovich (Russia/MLW), & Alice Crowley (USA/MLP)
- Mexico: Persephone, Olympia, Skadi, Zeuxis, Lluvia, Garra Negra, Keyra, Kira, India Sioux, Thunder Rosa, & Tessa Blanchard
There were a couple of interesting notes in regard to double champion Persephone. After Queen Aminata tied to score with two consecutive eliminations,
the TBS champ rolled up Aminata from behind for an elimination. Aminata challenges Persephone for the TBS title on the October 28 edition of Dynamite. Persephone was eliminated by Marina Shafir via Mother’s Milk submission. We’ll see if that leads to a shot at the CMLL Women’s World Championship for Shafir in Arena Mexico.
The coolest move of the match came courtesy of Kira and Skadi. Kira stood atop Skadi’s shoulders for a falling double splash onto their opponents.
Another cool moment came in the introductions when Shafir and Kemalito honored PAC.
The flow of the Grand Prix started strong for Mexico with the first two eliminations. Both teams alternated eliminations for a bit, then Aminata scored two in a row to tie the score. Mexico regained the advantage and carried that edge down to the end. After Shafir eliminated Persephone, the final four came down to Skadi and Olympia against Bayne and Shafir. Olympia executed a gorilla press Michinoku driver to pin Shafir. Bayne hit a super rana followed by a spear to pin Olympia. Down to the final two.
The power moves went back and forth between Skadi and Bayne. Skadi nailed a Michinoku driver. Bayne rallied for a German suplex and a spear. Skadi came back for a springboard cutter. Bayne answered with a running powerbomb. The final blow came from Skadi on a super Samoan drop for the win.
