FC Barcelona will not sell Raphinha despite the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, and the Brazilian’s desire to continue at Camp Nou is not currently in question. A new report claims the only scenario in which the Catalans would sell Raphinha is if an “astronomical” offer came from the Saudi League.
At the moment, Raphinha is with the Brazilian national team as they hope to get their FIFA World Cup campaign truly in flight after a tepid 1-1 draw with Morocco. He’s expected to start
for Carlo Ancelotti’s side against Haiti in Philadelphia.
Raphinha is a favorite of Barcelona’s top brass, including manager Hansi Flick, who appreciate both his ability and dedication to the cause. Everything said publicly by the winger, and reportedly also behind closed doors, indicates he loves playing for the blaugrana and is by no means ready to leave Europe’s top leagues for an adventure in a different continent.
He will turn 30 this December, and he is physically fit after completing a season unfortunately marred by injuries.
