On Tuesday, DL Tyeland Coleman told Noles247 that he planned to enter the transfer portal when it opened on January 2. Coleman spent one season in Tallahassee and appeared in three games.
The Mississippi native was supposed to be a rotational piece along the FSU interior after impressive JUCO numbers in his 2024 campaign and was listed as the ninth-ranked JUCO player according to 247Sports. Coleman came to Florida State with a body ready for the physical nature of P4 football and is listed at 6’4”, 309 pounds. However, he never cracked the rotation, even as the Seminoles were desperate for depth along the defensive line, and played only against East Texas A&M, Kent State, and Wake Forest. Coleman becomes the second defensive lineman to announce his intention to enter the transfer portal, alongside L A Jessie Harold.
