Ismaël Saibari is already making a strong impression at Bayern Munich, and board member for sport Max Eberl could not be happier with what he has seen from the summer signing.
Following Saibari’s latest performance during Bayern Munich’s 5-1 victory over VfB Stuttgart on Friday, Eberl praised the 24-year-old midfielder for his creativity and ability to make an immediate contribution, particularly after he provided two assists.
“Two great assists. Both get a grade of 1! Isi is fitting in better and
better. We’re thrilled that he’s with us,” Eberl said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It is exactly the kind of early impact Bayern Munich will have hoped for when bringing Saibari to the club. The Moroccan international has shown that he can contribute in the final third, while his technical ability and versatility give Vincent Kompany another valuable option within the squad.
Perhaps just as encouraging for Bayern Munich is how quickly Saibari appears to be settling into his new surroundings. Adapting to a new club, league and tactical system can take time, particularly when arriving at a club with Bayern Munich’s expectations, but Saibari seems to be finding his rhythm quickly.
Eberl’s comments also underline the excitement within the club about the signing. If Saibari continues developing at this rate, Bayern Munich could have added another important piece to an already talented squad.
