WWE Friday Night SmackDown comes waltzing back into our lives tonight (Dec. 5, 2025) with a live show emanating from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, featuring all the fallout from the Survivor Series
premium live event that went down just this past weekend.
Advertised for tonight: It’s the Finals of the Last Time is Now Tournament, which will see GUNTHER take on LA Knight for the right to face John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Elsewhere, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will appear and we’ll learn what could be next for him, Solo Sikoa responds to The Wyatt Sicks’ attack last week, Jade Cargill vs. Alba Fyre in a non-title match, and more!

Men walking ‘long the railroad tracks, going someplace and there’s no going back. Highway patrol choppers coming up over the ridge, hot soup on a campfire under the bridge. Shelter line stretching ’round the corner, welcome to the new world order. Families sleeping in their cars in the southwest, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a recap of Survivor Series and then the usual montage of talent arriving at the arena.
Drew McIntyre is met at the loading dock by Nick Aldis and security.
McIntyre claims Paul Heyman told him that if he won at Survivor Series he’d be unsuspended, but Nick says suspended is suspended. Drew says he’ll leave for the sake of the security guards who have families to go home to, but when he gets in the car, Cody Rhodes is in the passenger seat!
Cody attacks him, scraping and clawing until security manages to pull him out and Drew peels out of the arena, tires screaming!
“American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes walks right from there to making his entrance, the camera following him the whole way.
