One of the top prospects in the state of New York, wide receiver Lyrick Samuel chose Penn State in February 2024, choosing the Nittany Lions over Michigan State, Rutgers, and Syracuse. The 6’4” product will likely redshirt to put more muscle on his slender frame, but should be an inviting target for whoever replaces Drew Allar in 2026.
A Nittany Lion legacy, LaVar Arrington II leapt at the chance to follow in his father’s footsteps (sorry, I had to), selecting Penn State in July 2024, picking the Blue
and White over UCLA and Tennessee. Arrington already turned heads during spring practice, and may even push for playing time in 2025.
